The History
The Casa Marina Hotel has been a Jacksonville Beach icon since opening in 1925. Originally a two-story, 60-room Spanish-Mediterranean retreat, it quickly became a hotspot for celebrities like Jean Harlow and Al Capone. During WWII, the U.S. government repurposed it for military housing, and over the years, it housed various businesses before closing in 1991. Restored with a third-story penthouse and veranda, it now offers 23 elegantly themed rooms. Recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Casa Marina remains a timeless blend of history, charm, and oceanfront elegance.
