Stars, Stripes and Summer
Happy 4th of July! Wishing you a fun and safe holiday as we celebrate summer, freedom, and time with the people who matter most. Whether you’re heading to the beach, grilling out, watching fireworks, or just enjoying a slower day, I hope it’s filled with good moments and great memories. Have a great Independence Day!
Downtown Jacksonville (Riverfront / St. Johns River)
The city’s biggest show happens downtown over the river with fireworks launched around 9:00 PM from multiple locations near the Acosta and Main Street bridges. Best views are along Riverfront Plaza, Friendship Fountain, and the Southbank/Northbank riverwalk areas.
Jacksonville Beach Pier
A classic beach option—fireworks launch from the Jacksonville Beach Pier at 9:00 PM, with a “test shot” around 8:45 PM. Bring a blanket and watch right on the sand.
St. Augustine – Matanzas Bay
About an hour south, St. Augustine puts on one of the most scenic shows with fireworks over Matanzas Bay at 9:00 PM, visible from the historic district and Bridge of Lions.
Summer Concerts
Jacksonville has no shortage of live music and outdoor concerts to fill up your summer nights. From big shows at Vystar Memorial, St Augustine Amp to smaller, more local sets at beach bars and outdoor venues, there’s always something happening across town. Whether you’re into country, rock, or acoustic sets by the water, the city offers a great mix of bigger touring acts and laid-back local talent.
Summer is the perfect time to catch a show—warm evenings, open-air venues, and a full calendar of performances make it easy to turn a regular night into a fun night out. From downtown to the beaches, live music is part of what makes Jacksonville feel alive this time of year.
