New Local Spot: Asado Life
There’s another new spot to add to your Jacksonville restaurant list! Asado Life has officially opened at the Shipyards, bringing its Argentinian-inspired, live-fire cooking concept to the St. Johns River.
Located at 5 Tower Court, Asado Life sits right along the river in one of the fastest-changing areas of Downtown Jacksonville. The restaurant is just steps from the Riverwalk and Shipyards Marina and close to EverBank Stadium and Daily’s Place, making it a convenient stop before a Jaguars game, concert, or a night exploring Downtown.
A Restaurant Built Around Fire
Asado Life centers its menu around traditional live-fire cooking, using handcrafted grills for parrilla grilling, ember roasting, and smoking. The menu includes steaks, seafood, chicken, chorizo, vegetables, sandwiches, salads, and plenty of shareable plates.
For dinner, you’ll find options like filet, New York strip, flat iron, braised short rib, fresh catch, lobster gnocchi, and a 36-ounce porterhouse that's made for sharing.
If you want something more casual, the lunch menu includes burgers, sandwiches, bowls, salads, and dishes like the Asado Cuban and shrimp po' boy.
And don't overlook Social Hour, Tuesday through Sunday from 3–6 p.m., with drinks and smaller plates like provoleta, smoked fish dip, gaucho potatoes, and filet tips.
The Waterfront Setting
One of the biggest draws is the location. The restaurant has a covered outdoor patio overlooking the St. Johns River and Shipyards Marina, giving you a front-row seat to the boats, Riverwalk, and Downtown skyline.
It’s also part of a much larger transformation happening around the Shipyards. With new residences, the Four Seasons, the Jaguars' headquarters, marina improvements, and other development coming to the area, the Northbank waterfront is becoming a destination in its own right.
Asado Life fits right into that evolution by giving locals another place to gather, eat, grab a drink, and enjoy the river.
